Well, my friends, my favourite time of year is upon us. And not just because it’s my birthday month. September is the time when the leaves start turning, the jumpers come back out of the wardrobe, and reading time on the sofa with a blanket and cup of tea becomes the routine. It’s the time of year for countryside walks and hot chocolates. And books provide the perfect accompaniment to this season of cosy afternoons. Whether it be another thumbing-through of Tess of the D’Urbervilles or a dip into the new Murakami, autumn is prime for revisiting old favourites and discovering new classics.
So what better time for The Book Habit to come out of hibernation? After a hectic and glorious summer, it is time to pick up the books once again. So expect great things. Because this is the season for reading widely and dreaming big.
