How lax I have been for the past couple of weeks. Terrible, I know. And I will not attempt to justify myself, except to say that I have been in a PhD haze, subject to a deadline approaching with speed. Fortunately, I am now done and dusted and ready to give The Book Habit my full attention once again. I have quite the backlog of book reviews to work through – and will this week be looking to two classics, in the form of William Styron’s tragic Sophie’s Choice, as well as the dystopian nightmare of George Orwell’s 1984. I’ll also be back with a long-awaited The Weekly Reader, and of course filling the gaps with various literary musings and meanderings.
But we must start the week off right, with today’s Monday Musing!
